My weekly blog.... updated monthly

Wow! how time flies. So here are my paintings from the last month.
Adam was our model in this painting. He took on this very interesting but somewhat difficult pose.

This is about the 4th time I have painted this view from Walker Ranch. It always turns out a little different.

From the pull out on 93 just South of Boulder.

A partly cloudy day  on our property In Coal Creek Canyon. The cloud shadows were slowly moving across the landscape.

Fun colors.

This is one of my favorite portraits to date.

Low in Boulder Canyon. I loved the light.

Hygiene Colorado. I've admired this house for sometime now. I finally got around to painting it.

These are some big rock slabs just to the west of Ncar.

One evening after work I pulled over low in Coal Creek Canyon, climbed up a bit and painted this view looking up canyon. The sunlight only lasted about two minutes.  I was determined to get it in my painting.

Yesterday I hiked/climbed up behind NCAR to a saddle just below Bear Peak. And caught this view to the north.

More Rocky Mountain National Park

Sharon and I went back to Rocky Mountain National Park. I painted this in Moraine park just outside of the camping area that our family spent a week in, back in 1972. Coming here always takes me back to that time.

Weds. our model wore a costume which I had a great time painting.

This painting I did just down the road from our house on Monday afternoon. The lilacs were in bloom and I felt like I had to get them in a painting.

I did this on my I pad Fri night. I was just playing, but it turned out kind of neat. Come to think of it I am always just playing.

Some computer some in the real world

I did one last computer painting at my sisters the morning before we flew back home. This is the same view I did the night before, but with different light.

This is from this morning. Sharon and I went to the house I have been working on to paint some of the wonderful stone structures that are scattered through out the property.
This is from Weds. night.

Computer painting

I've been in Ohio this week visiting family and was unable to bring my oils on the plane. I decided the best thing to do was to paint on my lap top. Here are a couple of my better ones. This first one I did at our gate in Denver waiting to board the plane.
This was done at my sister's house.
We left early Thur morning, so I was still able to get in a Weds night figure session. I got this under painting done in an hour and decided to go home and get some sleep in stead of mucking it up by trying to put on some color.
This one I painted Tues. night. It is just a view of a wall in my studio.
And one more I just finished. This is another done at my sister's.
