new figure drawing

This is the figure drawing from this past week. Michelle rigged up a light from above. This made for some nice shadows.

Contrapposto and still lifes

I kind of lost a little momentum on my painting this week. Still, I think I turned out a couple of good ones.

The candle in a jar I thought would make an interesting challenge. It turned out quite well and only took an hour. Our model on Weds. was truly amazing. She was able to stand so still, that is was like drawing a statue.

This weeks post

Here is this weeks post. This is of course my drawing from this weeks figure modeling session. I'm not too happy with the color of the paper, but I still think it turned out pretty good.

 I did the next two from earlier figure drawings.

 This is from one of my many desert photos. I wanted to see if painting from a photo would be any different after all of the paintings from life I've done.

 I think this is the best painting of the week. Can you see what it is?
